harveycafc
Hi My key for my fiesta (below) seems to have a very low signal and struggles to unlock the car remotely. It has to be pressed quite a few times and on the drivers side in order for it to work. I've put a new battery in and the insides of the actual key are fairly clean so I presume that isn't the problem. Is it worth programming it again perhaps? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG3R58-24QU Thanks in advance for any replies. (I've searched and as far as I'm aware this hasn't come up before)

Stoney871
Sometimes when the battery dies you can find that the central locking code on the key can 'wander'. Retuning it with the four turns routine may well help.
George. 1991
There's the simple way of just putting the key to your head and try locking/unlocking your car....! :-)

Chinny
Open up your key and clean the gold connectors on circuit board where the battery connects to as the get dirty but only use alcohol as you could damage them, had same problem with mine and now works perfect
ben1191
There's the simple way of just putting the key to your head and try locking/unlocking your car....! :-) straight from top gear ;) i did this with another car and it almost doubled the range lol,i could unlock the car from 200 yards away.Very noticeable difference compared to the ford
