tip tornado
hi guys i am new to the forum but i read a lot of your helpful advice and learn a lot from them. at the moment i am in a state of confusion and i need your advice. i previously own a zetec 1.6 tdci 2009 model with a nice spec such as bluetooth, ambient lighting, quickclear heated windscreen, anti glare mirror and done only 41k miles on the clock.but when i bring it to ford for servicing i notice a 2012 zetec s on the forecourt and fell in love with it. i ask the sale advisor about the details of the car and he said to me that it has the same spec of my car,so at that moment i decided to get the car without inspecting ( my fault) and i partly blaming the weather because it is raining.after signing the papers and when i pick up the car, it is a basic model without bluetooth stereo and the lot.i raise this question to the sale advisor and he said to me that it is all adds on in my fiesta. now i am stuck with the zetec s without the comfort of my previous fiesta. is the sale advisor is right? is it all adds on ? is there anyway to upgrade my stereo? Mike77
They may well have been add-ons in your old car, or more likey, the spec list of equipment wanted by the first owner. I looked at a zetec s first, then a titanium after, and the equipment levels were worlds apart, so I went for the titanium. Surely you had a test drive, and a good look around the car before buying ??? I know I would have pushed every button, lever & switch before signing anything. iNath
bluetooth and/or USB has always been an add-on and at certain times of the year Ford do a free promotion.

iNath
is there anyway to upgrade my stereo.with bluetooth Whilst technically it is possible and I've done it to a few Fiestas the simple answer is 'no'. The cost and number of parts is huge and then it needs to be programmed by someone with specialist Ford diagnostic kit. You're better off getting something like a Parrot MKi9200 (will do bluetooth audio & handsfree, USB, aux, SD cards etc)

PAPUMA
my mistake because when the sale advisor said that it is the same spec i assumed that its same with my car and did not check on it. thanks for the reply guy's.is there anyway to upgrade my stereo.with bluetooth As the car was there they should have at least sat you in it, made sure you were hapy with the spec and taken you for a test drive. You could have asked to have done that of course but you saw the car and wanted it. We can easily forget to do the simple things when we really want something. You asked if it was the same spec as your car and was told yes by someone who didnt even bother to ask what spec your car was or check your car. It easy to put the blame at your door but I think the salesman has a responsibility to check your totally happy with the car before buying. Maybe I am asking to much but I have a conscience, probably why I could never be a salesperson. I guess a lesson learned mate. There are other Ford dealers in Dorset if you didnt want to give that one any more of your money, I know I wouldnt. It may be possible to replace your stereo with a non ford blue tooth one, i know someone on here has replaced their 2009 model with a Pioneer unti, it looks pretty good. But i'm not sure if the 2009 and 2012 facias are the same. Looks like a bit of worked involved to do it though. As suggested Parrot is probably the best route to go down.
