chippy1 Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Hi my neigbour cant start her Zafira Diesel it cranks fine but dosent try to start she has been told that the egr valve is faulty and thats why it wont start so can an egr valve stop a car from starting ? jeebowhite Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Hi Mick, Yes it can. If the EGR is not operating properly, the signals will stop the starter relay operating and stops the engine.
