jeebowhite
Hi Guys, so having recently just installed my parking camera, I had a true comparison of how aged the other plastic is on the number plate housing. The plastic is a rather dull yellow colour, and it could do with sprusing up! I dont really want to have to fork out any money on a replacement (some on eBay for £13) I would rather try and polish it up myself, but the big question I suppose is this... Can you? I dont quite know if the discolouration is inside, or outside on the lens. and I am not quite sure how to work on such a small area without tools. So if anyone has any thoughts, please let me know! karlos1987
I've seen some stuff that does headlights before. Surely it tge same process? Just a smaller area. Got a feeling it was made by meguires? jeebowhite
could be, I am thinking of starting with a basic - something like a kitchen cleaner sprayed inside and out to try and get rid of any crap and then wipe it up

Stoney871
Toothpaste or Brasso. Mildly abrasive but won't scratch the lens.
jeebowhite
Toothpaste was how I was going to head actually Clive (got more of that, no brasso :() so I think I will wash it first with soap and hot water, then give it a go over with toothpaste and cloth!
