I was offered the Supaguard Treatment for £250 when I bought my last Focus and the one before but knowing I could buy the kit myself for £10 I decided to do it myself. I found the Supaguard Treatment only lasted for 6 months on the paintwork but the wheel treatment and interior guard sprays worked much better. The PermaSeal is far superior in my mind. The only downside is you have to wax and buff the car twice, so is fairly time consuming. I also sealed the wheels with some Autoglym Wheel Sealer. There is another product called Permaseal that uses a powder that is mixed with water. I wouldn't fancy using something like that because it has to be abrasive. Gyeon's is a fair bit cheaper, but if you get it wrong it can only be removed by machine polishing (Both companies are highly respected by the way). And some guy is managing to sell this permaseal at £20 quid a go that lasts triple that!? I hope I'm wrong, the guy will be a millionaire in no time! btmaldon Posted June 16, 2014 Author Share Posted June 16, 2014 When I bought my car last March I used Autoglym Ultra Shine on it but the paint surface still felt a little rough. With the PermaSeal it is so smooth the door keeps slipping out of my hand when opening and closing. The finish is the best I have experienced. Pete80 Posted June 16, 2014 Share Posted June 16, 2014 I personally use Autofinesse tough coat or Wolfs body wrap, both are exceptional sealants and with the correct decontamination stages done can last months, tough coat I have over 6 months and have seen body wrap last a year.
