simon2710 Posted August 11, 2014 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Hi, Odd query, I'm getting a weird metal rattling noise from engine (I presume it's the engine, possibly clutch?). I normally drive around town/urban areas in fourth gear, so about 2000 revs driving at 30mph. Is it best to drive in 3rd gear as I heard the 1.6 Zetec SE engine is designed for higher revs? I only hear the rattling when gears are high and revs are low. I've heard it could also be caused be the heatshield?
