Idling @ 2500 And Cutting Out.

My 04 Fiesta suddenly started revving at 2500 last week, it also revved high the same when I pushed the clutch down. I left it for around an hour and tried again - same issue.

I then went away for a week and it now has trouble starting, still revving at 2500 but as soon as I take my foot of the accelerator the car with stop.

I have a friend looking at it, but not with much luck. We're trying to find the Idle Control Valve to see if it's that but we can' find it?

I did have a similar problem to this around a month ago where the engine was revving at 1500, this was due to a breather hose that was replaced and Ford reset some computer? Ran fine until it stated revving at 2500.

Any ideas?

Could be the MAFor throttle position sensor there is no idle control valve on your model.
