djspoole
Providing the wiring is ok. Thats normally the common problem for your symptoms Sent from my GT-I9195 using Ford OC mobile app I have just fitted the New heater control valve but still have exactly the same problem. Just to let you know there was not a control valve fitted, there was just 2 short bits of pipe connecting the pipes together... The thing that is confusing me is that the heater used to work ok without it.... Any ideas...Maybe a fuse or something....

Dan62
Hope the attached helps, unlikely to be a fuse as they are used for other circuits so you would have noticed other things not working too. But you should check them anyway. It just leaves wiring or heater control module as suspects. As for the blower only working on high speed you probably need a new resistor pack (R21) behind dash panel, centre, near air conditioning/heating control unit

I have purchased a new resistor pack and plug with 4 short wires.. On inspection of the old one it has a burn on the inside of one of the 4 pins, and melted the plastic a little. I am a bit worried about putting the new switch in and connecting it up. Is there any precautions i need to take before i connect it all back up. Thank you in advance. Dan62
I would cut the old connector off and splice the new connector onto the loom. Ideally solder and insulate the wires but you could use a connector block (chocolate block) or in-line crimps if the cable length on the new connector permits.
