iantt
You need to get hub run out checked on both hubs, I assume theres no wheel bearing play?
stef123
Have you had the wheels checked for balance?
artscot79
I'm with steff it's usually the wheels especially alloys the potholes take their toll its usually noticeable at higher speeds is 50 mph+

mintalkin
if its shaking under braking it will most likly be a disc, as said get a run out check done on the discs with a dial gauge.was the hubs cleaned before fitting the new discs as any kind of corrosion could cause the disc to not be fitted squarley. iantt
Hub run out check then(not disc run out) as youve tried everything else.also check lower arm bushes for wear
blue flash
Going to take both wheels, calipers, discs of today and check everything for wear and slackness.thanks everyone again and iantt will check the bushes as well.
iantt
it will be the rear bushes that wear on the lower arms, they can cause a small wobble in to a big wobble.
blue flash
Right have had a look at these chuffing brakes.on the drivers side, all working ok,no warp in the disc the pads are sliding on the hangers there's nothing sticking, the bearings are good.on the passenger side i found that the outside pad of the disc is braking BUT the inside isnt. now i don't get this at all because that the piston side.on the inside pad it seams to have like a grinding paste stuff on it.everything else is working as per drivers side.head scratching time. vibeone
The drivers side brake is a pain in the ... on mine as well. 1) It squeeks a little bit 2) it wobbles under braking. So I had the pads and discs changed. One month later... 1) It squeeks a little bit 2) it wobbles under braking.
troy45
For the passenger side caliper is it sliding properly on it's pins then? not sure what you mean by the 'grinding paste' material you can see but first off I'd definitely yank the caliper off it's mount and check pins etc. Am assuming it's a typical sliding caliper set-up just smaller caliper than ST version. artscot79
You'll likely need to remove the pins holding the caliper on clean grease and refit
blue flash
I've put a new set of pins in the left side a few weeks ago and the right side pins are dead straight.everything is sliding about nicely the only thing i didn't get to do were to try the bushes.SO,what i did last night was.I took the old right disc which i know is true and put it on the left side (just to try it) didn't have time to try it last night.thanks for your import chaps. theredfox
pagid are supposed to be good quality discs makes you think about how they are made if they warp se easy
iantt
pagid are the cheapest crap out there, well nearly anyway.
artscot79
Never use pagid had issues with them in the past on other cars and don't trust them IDE have kept the pads and got mintex disks never had warping issues with them
blue flash
I'll never buy pagid again. mintex for me from now on..
stef123
I've been using pagid stuff for years, done many cars with their stuff and never had a single issue. If your discs keep warping you have issues with something else.
