kpg
I've had 4 wheel alignment done twice, an preMOT check and front/rear wishbone bushes replaced. Car is still pulling off to the right. Any suggestions as to what it could be? My tyres are directional so am I right in saying I can switch driver side front with driver side rear? Just to see if it's the wheel that's dodgy or not? troy45
Would say swapping front tyre to rear should be ok to try - I'd try both left & right pairs then you've still got even tread side to side.
Dales
If you have had it in for a pre m.o.t check I take it the brakes etc were also checked so that more or less rules out sticky brakes etc. My 1st check when the car starts pulling either left or right is always the tyre pressure. surprises me how many times it has cure the problem. Especially if you are running low profile tyres as it can be hard to tell when they are a bit soft.
kpg
Thanks guys, I'll check the pressure on my lunch break. I've had the brakes and pads changes at the mot check, was pulling before I had them changed so it's not that. So you're saying I should swap the both fronts with the both rears ? troy45
Yes I'd say to swap fronts and rears as pairs, so it keeps tread levels even. Course you can swap just one side first to see if makes any difference but long term you're best doing both sides. It appears that best rotation pattern (don't ask me why) for a FWD car is fronts to rear and rears to opposite sides on front but your directional tyres probably don't allow that.
