No Throttle Response At Startup Mk3 Tdci

Hi All,

Would love a little advice if poss.,

Bought a 2006 Ghia X TDCi (I believe the 130 ?? 6 Speed) last week, 130,000 on the clock in quite reasonable condition. Ive madaged to get most annoying jobs done with the exeption of one.

When the car is cold and you try and start it, the car will start first time every time BUT it will idle at 500rpm for aabout 4 or 5 seconds and there is NO throttle response. I just have to wait until it comes to life.

What can this be please?

have you checked for error codse, otherwise might be worth cleaning the MAF Sensor.
