yunii
Hi can anyone tell me when adding sideskirts, are these bolted on bonded? Also does the plastic cover over the sills need to be removed? Cheers Yunii
Brigante
remove the plastic and just bond them on with tigerseal/very strong double sided tape
Wheels93
When ford add them there is a retaining clip on the front part which faces towards you. If you get ford to fit them, this means they will drill a hole in the body to connect them. This applies to the other part too where there is three if I can remember correctly! (Not good if you ever want to remove them) When I did mine the other month I bonded them using bond&seal. Horrible stuff but sticks like a beast! Unfortunately due to poor storage I had some sag in the in the middle of the side skirts so drilled a tad to stick a retaining clip in. Look great though. And yes the plastic sills do need removing!

Lenny
Hi can anyone tell me when adding sideskirts, are these bolted on bonded? Also does the plastic cover over the sills need to be removed? Cheers Yunii Undo the few tork screws and pull down the plastic sill panel it also has some little white clips attached to the plastic these come out as part of the plastic sill. Surprising amount of dirt gathers inside these sills, this is from one side: Now removed, I recommend cleaning the area with a bucket of solution to remove all dirt rather than a hose because you don't want to force water through the holes in to the sill cavity, Keep the Torx screws for fitting the skirts and discard the plastic sills. Ready for skirts I recommend fitting a set of custom mud flaps to protect the skirts from stone chips, I can guide you on creating these if required,

WES180
Charming ;)Ha ha, out of curiosity what was supposed to be attached or was it with reference to your earlier post?
Wheels93
So there are screws along the bottom of both the front and main parts. These screw holes will be available when you take the plastic sills off and present the side skirts to the car. These need to be rescrewed back in. Along the side of the car there is one retaining clip on the front piece and three clips on the main piece. You can either drill the body and bang the clips in or you can do what I did and bond them on. Inside the skirt there is a line you can stick the bond on ;)

SeanW
It's either play with the car or end up expecting again :P Without the Focus, Lenny would be well on his way to being able to field a full football team by now :D Talking of your The Wife - what you done with her? Don't see her posting much?
