Brian Melon Gag
We have a Ford Fusion, 1.4l petrol, 2005 model. On the way home tonight I noticed a whooshing sound coming from under the car. It seemed to be coming from under where the rear seats are. Initially, I noticed it while braking, but it seems to me as though it's happening when travelling at low speeds - it's at it's loudest at around 15-20 mph. It happens irrespective of whether or not I am braking, accelerating or even out of gear. The trip home was about 15 miles and it happened every time I travelled at around that speed. After half an hour at home, I drove the car around the block again and the problem has persisted. Does anyone have any ideas what the cause might be? Happy to provide further information if needed. sazandy
can you see anything under the car, had something like this before and found a stick stuck under the exhaust scrapping on the ground and could only hear it at low speeds
Brian Melon Gag
Hiya, Thanks for your reply. I did have a look under the car earlier and couldn't see anything hanging at all. I'll have another look in the morning when it's light again, but I am not expecting to see anything to be honest.
