James S
Hi Everyone, I've had my Mk2.5 Focus since January and have started doing a few small things here and there, some things inspired by this forum. Heres a picture of it currently. First thing I did was adding the DRL fog light trims which I've seen a lot of people do, took this picture to show the difference between the DRL and the standard. Ignore the bumper damage, happened while I was parked. I've also added blue ambient lighting to the doors/footwells and puddle lamps under each door. These come on with the courtesy lights. Picture doesn't do it justice! I also work part time hiring out lighting/sound equipment and as such often use the boot in the dark. The existing boot light is rubbish! So I've wired up some bright LED's to the hatch trim. . Have ordered a Green Cotton air filter and also bought all the parts for my service as I'll be doing it myself. Also bought an EGR black (not 100% sure I'll actually fit it though!). If anyone wants a guide on anything I've done let me know! :)

James S
So jealous! My insurance company isn't offering insurance anymore so obviously I can't get a renewal price. So far the cheapest I can find with 1 years no claims is £1900!
dezwez
still a lot
James S
I know it doesn't seem fair! Got a dash cam and haven't had any driving issues this year. Apart from two people crashing into me, neither of the accidents were my fault!
dezwez
I can get mine even cheaper if I have the wife as a second driver which I will do next time as I cant drive all the time
Goodkat
Damn near a car twin... I have a Avalon too. Only 'Mod' I have done though is put the Ford Owners Club stickers in rear windows, but that adds more BHP than all other mods combined. I might have to look into the DRLs now though. dezwez
Ford Owners Club stickers I have two they look so good in the two rear windows
James S
Haha, not too keen on stickers really, thinking more of mind changing/selling. Everything I've done so far is easily reversible with minimum effort.
dezwez
I keep mine till they start to cost get the best out of her. I do all my own servicing don't trust ford to do it
James S
Yeah I service mine as well, costs so much less and you know it's actually done!

James S
That's what I've started doing, for the sake of £30 its well worth it! Also going to do my timing belt at about 70k which is well earlier than ford suggest but worth doing!
dezwez
totally agree mine has no timing belt its a chain that's why I do the oil more
