All that for one sub? Looking good though. . . How many DB do you plan to get?

I was going to say the same.. slightly overkill, unless he plans to add more. If he adds more subs and nothing else then I'd personally say moron. Why would you want stupid levels of bass with no mids or highs?

Nothing wrong with a loud sound system.. but why is it needed in a car? An arena/ hall or theatre fair enough.. but a fiesta? Really?

Sorry but if you actually bother to look around the forum, you'll find that theres plenty of "proper builds" if you want to stick to "TA" then please free to leave our forum.

I don't understand the need for this. Personally haven't had the standard stereo higher than 15!

I get the impression that some of you don't understand what I am doing and why which is understandable as you have all been at the traffic lights and a car pulls up next to you with so much bass all that you can really hear is bits vibrating, we'll I can say that this is not me. I am into sound quality and as I spend a lot of hours in the car I thought I would finally get all the great audio gear I had stashed in my loft out and into my car as I don't need rear seats I made the decision to get them out and use the space for my audio gear.

There is 130 Ah of battery in the lower part of the racking on the passenger side and on top there will be 5 amplifiers on the drivers side we have a sub enclosure for a 12 inch sub and on top of that there is a Sterling battery to battery charger which looks after the charging needs of the aux battery bank, so long as I don't draw more than 150 amps constantly the bank will never go flat whilst the engine is running. The battery bank will also run a inverter for keeping my tool battery's charged along with powering extra lighting, charge points and some other bits.

Going back to the audio I will be installing 6 Speakers up front with one sub behind the drivers seat the front end will comprise of 1 x tweeter 1 midrange up on the dash in the quarter light area and a 8 inch woofer in the door this is the same for both sides hence a total of 6 drivers in the front.

Its not about volume its all about quality.

Im a fan of quality & I've worked with PAs from the likes of L'acoustics and DB techniq

In my car I have 2 Focal PS165f's powered by a Blaupunkt gta 470.

In the boot I have a 10" JL audio sub powered by a JL audio Jx500 1D

My headunit is a pioneer AVH2600BT

Perfectly good enough quality for me, more than loud enough (not that it goes loud) and it takes up no space whatsoever in the scheme of things..

I'd say you're going a little overkill for Quality

I think it's good. If I had the money and knowledge I'd so something similar, probably in an "SUV" though. Have you seen Steve Meade's YT channel? He has some quality builds

As a qualified sound engineer I completely understand the desire for quality audio reproduction and I commend you for the work you've put in. It is slightly overkill for such a small space, quality needn't have come at such extreme measures, but the work you're putting in has to be admired.

Just out of curiosity, what will be your audio source?

I am going to use an i Pod that will feed a digital signal in to my Mosconi DPS 6 to 8.

The tracks on the i Pod are in apple lossless format.
