GMX
WTF !! I just don't get how that's possible when attempting to park.
alexp999
Do you think they were able to drive up the wheel of the Focus that is sticking out? it says they were trying to reverse...

That's possible, but he'd have to floored it. Mind you, a lot of OAP crash incidents involving mistaking the brake for the throttle, and slamming the wrong pedal!
WAZ91
Would love to see how much damage it caused the Focus
Ford_Man
I recon it might need a new mirror at the least? Window looks smashed! No serious a lot of damage
GMX
There looks a like crease, between the wheel arch and top of the wing, door mirrors definitely gone, and window looks smashed

jmurray01
Well that's a new achievement. I think the "elderly driver" in question should take the bus in future.
simcor
Pictures taken at the scene show the Vauxhall with its front left wheel sticking through the smashed passenger's side window of the Ford. I think the writer needs to learn the difference between passenger side and drivers side or O/S and N/S

I didn't see that when I read the article, which is unusual with me being a longstanding member of the grammar police...

jeebowhite
LMFAO!!! Seriously... wow! Yeah he probably got the wheels aligned, as he was reversing (judging by the angle of the car, I would say he was attempting to reverse into a garden). He probably felt resistance as the wheels met, thought he was caught on a kerb and floored it, thus riding up the focus and parking on his door :|
