Focus St Scuff Plate Not Working

Passenger side scuff plate not working.

Any ideas before I book it inn to be repaired. Thanks :)

Common issue from what I have read.

Manufacturing defect.

But if they try to argue it is trim, make sure they know it is a known electrical fault as a result of a manufacturing defect.

It has to be replaced under warranty.

Booked in next Monday.

It's only 3 weeks old.

So replacement it is. They want the car for 2 hours..

I asked the question myself, that's just for a visual & to contact ford and authorise warranty repair.

If they have to order the part it's another booking..... Seriously?!

I wouldn't accept that, have them check it while you wait then order the part.

2 hours is a joke!!!! Took my fiesta st in for the same thing all done and dusted in 30 mins.

Just over a hour, part defective and ordered new part. Fitting tomorrow. Hooray.

mates fiesta st is the same he's had 3 sets and they wont replace it anymore its too expensive apparently
