SuttonRider
Phoned the local Ford dealer at King's Lynn and it is still on. Car booked in on the 20th, job takes about 1 hour or so and is free as it's covered by Ford. - Result.
iantt
Well thats strange, all 3 dealers near me say no, that finished dec 15. Im thinking your dealer will absorb the cost of badge and do the evhc check on your car hoping to find some work off the back of it.
Stoney871
Probably found the thicko salesman that every dealership usually has hidden in the office making the wets. Sent from my SM-G930F
SuttonRider
The car is still under warrantee from where I brought it. So if they do it could be handy.
Stoney871
If the car is under warranty then they should do them F.O.C anyway. Sent from my SM-G930F

SuttonRider
To Clarify: - The car is 3 years old and I didn't buy it from a Ford dealer.
SuttonRider
A local mate of mine also has a Focus and is getting his badge done next week at the same place. He spoke to a different person when he phoned them.
SuttonRider
UPDATE: We have now had both the badges replaced free of charge. As I've said one car is 3 years old, the other 5. So it seems that Ford are still doing this.
dave1987
I've just tried to get new badges on my 2009 fiesta when it goes in for a service next week and Allen Ford in Bath say it's not on any more? Has anyone got something from Ford stating it definitely is still on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Stoney871
Allen Ford are crap anyway. I'm in my local dealers again in the morning for a new headlight and will attempt to get a definitive answer from them. Last time I was there they said yes but will double check. Sent from my SM-G930F Clive, be fair!! Allen Ford are a bunch of incompetent dimwits who attempted to fleece a number of our members out of money by conveniently forgetting to issue refunds for a product that was suddenly subject to a near 10-fold price increase all of a sudden after they realised that it was a popular mod.
Stoney871
100% definitive answer direct from Ford themselves- The scheme originally ran until December 2014 but was then extended to December 2015 and covered all Ford vehicle branded badges (front/rear/wheel centres) up to 10 years old. Now Ford will only replace any branding badges up to the maximum of your base warranty (3 years).
SuttonRider
Looks like no one told Marshalls at King's Lynn then.
Stoney871
Maybe they are allowed to use their own discretion? Sent from my SM-G930F

Stoney871
Badges are also classed a parts so covered for 3 years parts defect warranty. Sent from my SM-G930F
dave1987
Cool thanks for the steer. I have to be honest I've had a clutch warranty replacement and they've serviced my focus twice and I've had no problem with them. Their customer service when dealing with Ford UK getting the clutch sorted under warranty was very good. I'll let you know if it's any different when my fiesta goes in for a service and cambelt kit/waterpump replacement.
