alarm sound

does any one know what would cause an alarm type sound to go off when i put the car in reverse ? i can still hear the reverse sensors making the normal sound .

Is it a tone from the reversing speaker?

If it an aftermarket system?

I had an aftermarket system on my old mk2 and that always made a long tone to notify that it was engaged.

no .ive had the car for about 4 years and never herd it.it sound like the engine malfunction alarm but nothing on the screen

im having so many problems its unreal

sorted it.

reverse warning was on in settings.god its loud .

its just like malfunction warning going of .who would want that on as normal ,it would give you a break down
