davidjc64 Posted August 2, 2016 Share Posted August 2, 2016 hi i'm a newbie here,i have a ford mondeo 2010 titanium x tdci, the reversing lights have stopped working, the ford dealer is saying that the wiring joints are corroded ? they say it's runs under the car, they want to replace the wiring loom ! there is power to the switch, is it possible to run a wire from the switch to the lights ? any info etc greatly received dave Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The switch may not go directly to the light, the BCM (electronic module in the interior fuse box) is usually involved. Other equipment (park sensors, trailer box) get the reverse status from the BCM over the CAN bus. Sometimes there is also a relay in the circuit. (Transmission type dependant) I have seen all this on the Focus wiring diagrams, but do not have Mondeo diagrams to confirm the details. Peter.
