Appleby
Hi. My Mondeo 2.0ltr diesel is due a service and is at 110,000 miles. In the past it started with the Ford services for a few years but the last 4 years has been basic services at local garages. What work should I ask to be carried out on this next service? Will the basic service be sufficient?
Dupont
What year and model is it?
pragmatix
It's worth checking with your local Ford dealer for service prices some do a deal on older cars mine does basic service is £125 that's just oil change, oil filter and air filter the bigger service is £175 that adds in fuel filter and cabin filter, on top,of that I get a years full AA cover. in any case I would go for all filters and oil change

Thanks pragmatix, I have got them from the Ford dealers in the past and I have been going for filters and oil change recently. I've heard it may need other work because of the mileage such as cam belt/timing chain?
FatHead1979
I think the cambelt is 100K miles or 10 years, whichever comes 1st.
iantt
125k or 10 yrs.

Okay thanks, I think I will have to go for that as well this time. Thanks for the help.
pragmatix
125k or 10 years, not needed yet
BOF
I have to say that when mine went at 115k, I swore. Get it done.
John_D
Get the cambelt replaced and at the same time replace the waterpump. The new cambelt can destroy the bearings in a well worn waterpump.
