FOC MEET SUNDAY 28TH FEBRUARY

Featured Replies

Mark and myself have took it upon ourselves (well, Mark suggested it) that we plan a meet for the end of February.

The meet will take a similar style to the two previous meets, meeting at Watford Gap Southbound Services on the M1 which has proved to be a good spot for northerners and southerners alike. We'll meet at around 1.00pm and then spend too much money and too much time in Costa Coffee business lounge.

Anyone is welcome, Fiesta or no Fiesta, feel free to get in touch with either me or Mark (Mark M.K) to ask about it, or ask in this thread.

We hope to see plenty of you there!

Confirmed

EXCELLENT NEWS!!!

hmmmmmm.... I think you'll find that it was me that suggested that a few days ago.....

Maybe we should do another at end of Feb?

As you may know I have a new contract starting on Monday, and I'll be moving to North Norfolk as well.

This means two things: Firstly I have absolutely no idea when I'm going to have days off. Secondly, the meet would be a 300 mile round trip, taking about three and a half hours in each direction.

Basically results in me probably not being able to attend, so sorry. I do however want to attend, so if it becomes possable I will let you know. Anyway, good luck with the meet :)

GL ALL!!!

I didn't know, will you have internet this time?! Where abouts in Norfolk?? Good luck with it all :)

I know you thought of it also, just me and mark chatting on FB and he has his first sunday off in about 70428403289424032 years on the 28th so we thought then!!

Being in Norfolk you will be far away from absolutely everywhere in the entire country so it makes it a bit annoying! Would be nice to meet you at some point! :)

I could potentially make that date. Would hate to ruin your Fiesta line-up though ...

my car ruins the fiesta line up and it's a fiesta!! can i put you down then??

Add me as a tentative. Not quite sure which city I'll be in, but most likely Luton (so not far at all).

Ill put you down as a possibility :)

May as well put me down again spose with a possible convoy from hertfordshire. (all being well)

I would like to come but it is the day after my big night out in Brighton (my 45th Birthday) so not sure I would be legal to drive after all the vodka and shots I will have consumed!

Perhaps not the best idea! Maybe you could fly??

If only it was for the 1st of March, haven't got my fiesta yet but that would have been a good little trip for it's first day.

Ah that's a shame! You're welcome to come in any car :) emphasis is on meeting people, not the cars!

Any car is welcome if the owner is on the forum :) Also Paul, we wont be meeting untill 1pm so that should give you plenty of time to recover from any drink effects :)

Lets make this meet the biggest and most popular so far (in our very short history ) Remember, this is open to ANY forum member not just Fiesta's. So get ya names down :)

The FocusOwners.com members from the North West regularly met with the classic Ford forums and went to the Albert Dock etc. Some pretty insane classics hanging about. Cross-forum meets can really be quite good fun too and a good way of bulking out attendees.

But!

There is often one pleb who drives like a plank and gives the meets a bad name ...

I think we're all respectable people!! Cross-forum meets might be going a bit far at this stage, we have yet to manage a proper meet of our own!!!

Exactly the problem the NW had - because only a few people from the forum were able to meet, others didn't see it as worthwhile. Yet when we were able to announce more headcount, loads more people turned up as a result :D

Now we have a couple of smaller meets under our belt it looks promising that others will want to join the boat! Me and Mark will be going in any case! I'm sure once a few more of the regulars have seen this post it will gather some more momentum :D

Will try my !Removed! hardest! :D

I'll be there! :D

Grrrr... I won't be there :( I hate being a learner.....

When I get my license, I'll be at one without a doubt

When you pass we shall have a meet ASAP!

Michael, I'm going to use a similar system as last time for whether I'm coming to the meet or not. I've got nothing on that I know of so it's looking good - Let you know for definite closer to the time. :)

What actually happens when we meet then ?

I haven't been a member long :(

Everybody turns up, then they vomit into Mikes car, then usually go home. Sometimes have a coffee and a chat and take some car photos, this is usually followed by everybody vomiting into Mikes car a few more times. After the vomiting is over, people return home to take a rest from the days vomiting - except mike, who will spend the following week de-vomming his car.
