Joel Bavidge
Anyone had the xpel paint protection film put on their car? Have been reading up about it, but not sure if it’s worth the price. Got quoted for over £1k to get the front of my car done. That’s a lot of money. Not sure if it’s really worth it.
zain611
I think I'd myself would just machine polish the paint to get rid of swirl marks and light scratches and seal it with a ceramic coating. Stuff like stone chips you can mask up with touch up paint.
Joel Bavidge
Yeah my thoughts were that the paint protection film is almost as expensive as a complete respray.

A disadvantage also with adding a film is after a while you might start to see yellowing which is caused by the glue on the film. My uncle bought a skyline which had a film put on it before and he said he's noticed the yellowing.
Joel Bavidge
yeah I've heard that happening before
nashdm2
Had two of my cars done with this film without issue. It comes down to how much you will get annoyed with paint chips appearing on the car. For me, had a BMW 5 series done 4 years ago and the front end is unmarked, so, worth the money, but its not everybody's cup of tea.
