Ok but on the original one it has one port at the back and on the Sony one has 2 any ideas of what this is, plus will I need the screen and the cd box\ head unit or literally just the stereo face?

Are u sure? My Sony fascia only has a single input

really depends on what your wanting to achieve re the other parts

if u have a 7.5 facelift and just like the look of the gloss Sony fascia (buttons) you should just be able to swap it straight out presuming you’ve bought a facelift Sony fascia

If your looking for dab or a colour screen then obviously you’ll need to swap out the rest

Yes was thinking about buying it because it looks cooler however do I need to buy the silver cd box thingy or will. My one work that came with the car ?

so all I really need is the facelift fascia so what is the silver box thingy for ?

As I said it depends what you want - the Sony fascia should just plug straight in with 1 connection- if they are both from the same gen fiesta

Thinking of the black and white connections I think DAB AND F, but I’m buying the Fascia with satnav

Sorry you’ve totally confused me here

so your looking at the whole unit- fascia, cd unit screen and top binnacle - you want nav?
I thought you were looking to replace the fascia only!

those 2 connection are on the back of the cd unit ones FM the others DAB aerial connections

I am only replacing the fascia I have just ordered the fascia with the nav option, I’m just wondering if the normal stereo will still work with the normal fascia 

The back of your ‘normal’ fascia only has one plug connection 

pop the fascia off unplug it and plug in the new one - 

just wondering why you opted for the nav fascia as now you’ll be missing some buttons where the map and nav buttons are 

youve now 2 buttons you can’t use

Hi, I bought a complete sony system to upgrade from my basic radio.

 

I figured out that I need an extra module to get bluetooth, which I haven't. The radio that came with the screen and facia is this :

AA6T-18C815-SF

 

To visualize a bit, this is the back of it. Check the image attached. This one is lacking the usb output that my stock radio had. Question is, with this port only, can I connect the bluetooth module provided that I get the cable required, or this one is missing the expansion port for the bluetooth module?

I've done my head unit to m8 same as that someone said to my the usb wire goes in the Bluetooth module. But watch what Bluetooth module you get as there's 2 .1 with mini usb 1 with a big usb but a big usb doesn't fit it must b a special ford usb wire hope this help as the Sony h unit has bluetooth in the menu

Hi Matty and thanks for the response. This is the photo from the unit that came with the sony face and screen. My stock as I said had usb output, but this doesn't. My question is, how do I connect the unit with the single port (one in the picture above) to the bluetooth module. I've seen a few modules for sale now, and a lot of them have two ports, and now I worry that this unit doesn't support the bluetooth module.

My m8 mk7 have bluetooth an a standard h unit  his h unit doesn't have usb on it his usb goes in the bluetooth module.

I got bluetooth module the wrong one so I'm a way to get the one with mini usb I think it got something to do with the mystery plug at back of the glove box. I'm hope in to get mine done next week when wages go in so I'll keep you posted mine is mk7 2012 head unit 2010 .

If you get any further let's know how you get on an ill do the same

I think it all wires up throw bluetooth as the 3.5 mil head phone jack still working on mine just not usb an h unit has bluetooth on menu just can't do any further that ware bluetooth module come in but just make sure you get bluetooth module with mini usb to plug your usb wire in to not sync unit
