Lanna
Currently looking at a white fiesta ST which has been decatted, and is on sale.. im quite in love with it. Only problem is, im not sure on the implications of a Decatted Car.. Mot an issue? Insurance etc.. Anyone got any thoughts? =)
r3ign
dont decat your car . i've been through months of hell and yesterday i finaly installed a sports cat for my mk7 zetec s. i'm happy to say my car is alot quicker and injects fuel when needed unlike before with out a cat it would inject fuel whenever and it wasnt giving me the power. so from my experience i would not reccomend decatting, unless you fool the ecu by putting a resistor in one of the lambda sensors. hope thats helps you
Lanna
I wouldnt be installing one into my own car as its not worth it.. the fiesta im looking to buy has one already installed and apparently you cannot get an MOT without a cat.. Is this true, did you have any problems with that?
ford focus edge
It wont pass an mot mate and its illegal because it breaches emissions and sound regulations etc its a pain in the !Removed! basically avoid!!! Mike

markus250
Nothing to stop you buying it and then fitting a new cat in place of the decat pipe etc. Either that or the seller may still have the original cat if you ask. I'd try and knock him down a little though if he doesn't have it...you know, play on the fact that you'll have to buy one for insurance and mot etc etc.
