You're not in Kent England are you ? Or have they started using using km there ?

Have you had the wet timing belt replaced on your 1.0 Ecoboost engine, it was due last year ?

What recall are you referring to ?

Global opening and global closing of all windows is done by pressing and holding the unlock button on your keyfob to open, and pressing and holding the lock button to close the windows. Full instructions can be found in the owners handbook.

I'm not from Kent. I had to choose a city to join the forum. I'm from Serbia I imported the car from Switzerland. I did a small service a week ago, I saw that the oil was clean. I was told that there is no need to do a major service, that it was done at 120,000 km. I didn't get the remote with the car, I only had a spare key, I later made a remote, but I can't manage to activate the global opening and closing. For now, double-clicking works as it should, but it won't work with the remote. Do you have any other advice about the engine, what should I check? In 4 months I'm traveling to Greece with my children on vacation, I have to check it before I leave.

Did they replace the wet timing belt on the 120,000 km service? You need hard evidence that this was done! No one is going to kick you out. I’m in a France and no one has kicked me out yet!

I don't know, I don't know how to find out, after the purchase I found out the mileage, how it was moving and whether it is real. Two owners have changed.

here is a picture. after buying from the reseller, I was told to do a small service interval without worrying about the big one, everything was on his word. I don't even know if he was recalled. Should I worry about that too?

 

Does it have a book service?

Where did it had serviced? Local workshop or official ford workshop?

Could you contact the official ford workshop in close to your area to ask them accord to car's code if there is information about this car?

 

I don't have a service book. The car was serviced in Switzerland At my place in Serbia, the service cannot issue a certificate because the car has not been serviced here

I only managed to get the mileage information, and I had to pay for that, I thought I would get more information but I didn't

There are some things someone could check to find out timing belt's condition , but the best thing is to change it.

Also only oil that meet all requirements should be used, no others.

Probably means the key remote control.

The key remote control requires a technician to make it and activate properly.

after the purchase, I did a small service interval myself, poured 5v20 oil, replaced the cabin filter and the air conditioner filter.

the locksmith who made my key fixed everything by opening the trunk and doors, and for the windows he said that maybe my car doesn't have that, but the car does

Also oil filter amd air filter should be changed along with them.

 

Spark plugs condition require inspection.

Timing belt should be changed (if it wasn't changed before) etcetera.

yes i changed the oil filters i didn't check the spark plugs. And I don't know how to check the gears. How can I check if there has been a recall since these engines have had coolant issues

A local Ford service centre will be able to tell you if any recalls have been done.

You need to confirm if the wet belts have been changed, if not, you need to budget to get them done ASAP

Does your car have front electric windows or front and rear?

If you only have front, then global close will not work

You may need to turn on Global Open/Close using FORScan, it may not be activated

I contacted the service in my country, I got the answer: That there are no service actions for this vehicle

Jump to Configuration & Programming (Left Bar)

Jump to GEM (MK2) or BCM (MK3)

Now I can't remember which one it is but, if ,when you open it, there's loads of codes, you're in the wrong one, open the other one.

Scroll down and there should be a drop down for "Scandinavian" mode, open the drop down and select disable

Go to the bottom of the screen and clock "write"

You should not call, since there are no open actions, we would have nothing to do.

What did they want to say with this? Is the engine OK and there is no need for a recall?
