ItsOnlyMe
Hi, My passenger seat belt sticks when pulling it out. So the locking mechanism is working a bit too well. I have a feeling that the seat belt ball bearing is clogged and I would like to take it out and have a look. I understand that when taking the seat belt out, I need to disconnect the battery for a short time so as not to activate the air bags. When I reconnect the battery is there anything that I should be aware of. I have looked in my hand book and I have a keycode but no radio code. Will I need this? Any help is gratefully received. Many thanks, Kerrie.
liamstears
Before going through all that effort try the simple fix, grab yourself some silicone spray, pull the seatbelt all the way out and give it a good spray all the way along the belt on both sides if possible and then retract it and pull it out a couple times This does the job most of the time

jsk
My daughter had the same problem with the drivers seat belt. Advised her to pull it all the way out to see if it fixed it. Glad to say it did.
