Wee bit late but any infos worth having i suppose. Ive got a mk5 (y reg) 1.25 16v freestyle. Suprisingly quick for its size, good on fuel, cheap on insurance. A/C, electric windows, power steering, front fogs,and a heated front screen!! :D

Yes, I've sort of turned towards the "Freestyles" and the "Chicanes" as they tend to have a lot more kit. But to me they are just bonuses, I just want a Fiesta; T&T for a while, low-ish mileage (no more than 80k) and runs well. One thing I won't settle for is plastic bumpers (unpainted), can't stick them to be honest.

Same car as me and same reg. It's a good little car, I love it but I didn't know it could get heated FRONT windscreen?? can this be retrofitted in anyway?

Officially payday is 26th of every month. But they pay us a day early without fail so not long now! :D

Loads of choice on AutoTrader still. Making me more frustrated every day I look through it.

Nothing specifically lined up though. There's an S reg 1.25 Zetec for sale in the garage down the road (funnily enough identical to my best mate's Fiesta), if it's still there on payday I'll definitely enquire about it.

something to bear in mind, mine is at 80k and runs absolutely fine, although cambelt has not been replaced and this needs doing at some point, just can't be bothered at the mo! I'd rather spend money on something i can see! woops.

A cambelt change will be on the cards if I got enough bonus money left. Yeah their's is a minter, it's an ex-mobility car, had 52,000 on the clock when they bought it 2 years ago (70 odd thousand now). Only thing is they're a tad dopey and done a couple of stupid things to it. They've wired a sub to there audio system, which is pretty much norm for people of our age as you know.

... But the thing they've done which I will NEVER understand is, they've wired a mini-fridge from the boot, to the battery.

So now everytime they lift the clutch up in reverse the battery starts to give up the ghost and the car oftens cuts out. Silly boys.

How very, very odd!

Start from scratch, get rid of the submarine and the fridge and then you're sorted.

ex-mobility is only a bonus, regular maintenance and services. Get a look in ASAP!

Oh, and cambelt change is (according to Haynes) every 10 years or 100,000 miles.

Mine is 12 years old and 80,000 miles so a bit in the middle! I have been advised not to let it go past 90k without a change though.
