Buying A Fiesta Mk4/mk5 ...

How very, very odd!

Start from scratch, get rid of the submarine and the fridge and then you're sorted.

ex-mobility is only a bonus, regular maintenance and services. Get a look in ASAP!

They may get a new car with a bit of persuading. They've got plenty of money so maybe I should try getting them to buy a new car, then sell the Fez to me. B)

Oh, and cambelt change is (according to Haynes) every 10 years or 100,000 miles.

Mine is 12 years old and 80,000 miles so a bit in the middle! I have been advised not to let it go past 90k without a change though.

I'd think about getting it done at about 85k, it's out of the way then. :)

Oh yes you've got the 1.3... No problems with the chain on that then. Very rare they need changing.

1.3i endure e engine little bit tappy but not major tappy but they are very slow of the mark but once your up to 2nd gear your away.

Theres a girl in my street with a mk4 dieseal fiesta and its forever breaking down it must take her 5 min to turn it over and get it started.

Hmm, they're quite reliable generally. I'd definitely consider one !

One thing thats worrying me at the moment i think my starter motor is on its way out. :(

hello I am new here.
I want to buy Fiesta from 2006 up to 2008 year with aircon.

I want to choose 1.25 or 1.4 petrol engines.

I don't expect a lot I just need a reliable economical car.

I need a car to drive in the city in weekdays but sometimes I like to go for longer journeys on motorways.
I will using most of the time only by myself, but for journeys might be with passenger.

I think 1.4 engine is quite good because give more torque at lower RPM which is nice feature but I am not an expert.
