Jan B
Hi I was wondering if it were possible to conduct a small unscientific survey into the matter of piston ring failure as to how big a problem this actually is, as the engine is available in nearly all Ford models. I was until 3 weeks ago the happy owner of a 2015 Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0 - 100Hp, with 39K KM on it, it is still at the Ford dealership awaiting a new engine.(and turbo) due to first according to the dealership a broken turbo then it turned out also piston ring failure in cyl. 1 I have searched the Net for simular problems, and it seems to me that unfortunately it is a thing with these engines. I would like to know how big a thing, because I would very much not have to put in a new engine in 3 years time 🙂 Jan Boesgaard - ...for the time being not so happy Ford owner
