BigLen
Liam out on his 5km walk from home, 10km round trip, Stopping off to check on the sheep, loves sitting watching them and shows no signs of agression towards them. Sometimes doesn't want to complete the journey,

Unfortunately he took a taste for lambs and had to be put down, I never really got over that, and wanted a dog when I got my own house, but we had kids then and held off until the youngest was old enough to remember the dog as a pup and at no risk of the dog becoming jealous as the kids are at ages where there up and walking; He Carey's his blanket in on to the sofa for cuddles with the kids and everything; trained to go outside for the toilet, he's very much loved and cared for by all five of us, Overall though; your 100% correct very easy to get attached, and to talk to them great company. Zico
I have lost track of the number of dogs we've had in the family over the years. They are both a joy and a pain (at times) but I wouldn't be without them. After I moved into my flat last year I went from being surrounded with the family dogs to having one. Pepper's also enjoying the quieter life and for the last few months, when I'm (trying to) work from home, she's in this spot on the back of the sofa.

Zico
Our oldest cocker spaniel is around 14 years old (I think) now and sleeps in my father's bedroom at the other house. When she's ready to go to bed she usually pesters my father or his partner to go upstairs as well
OwdGrumps
Well, here's a sad post, 'Briar', the horse I got for my daughter over twenty years ago had to be put down in the small hours of this morning, he was 26. Such a charecter, not a bad bone in his body, end of a era frankly. That gun salute today at lunchtime ?, it's for 'Briar'

Wino
We had to make the most gut wrenching decision yesterday afternoon to let our beloved pampered Boxer join her soulmate RIP Poppy
Zico
It's always hard when you have to make that decision. Unfortunately, our Doberman (Skye) collapsed and died from a suspected heart attack a few weeks ago. She was ~9 years old and had been a little unwell but it was sudden and unexpected at the time. *Edit* attached a photo with Skye and our Poppy just on the edge of the photo. Poppy's ~14 years old and is getting on a bit. She's also unfortunately not particularly well and has been deaf for a good few years.
