It should have warranty then, if it's leased. Book it in

I’m at 34k miles . Service due at 36k. Any idea how early I can get that service done ? I got the 18k service at 17,500.

It’s a 3 year warranty? Runs out October this year.

  • As you get older these leaks occur more often, it's nothing serious 😲

  • Turns out it was a leaking hose. The door seal got glued back on.  Full service, 2 new tyres , new brakes  Sorted

  • The tank is just in front of the driver's side front wheel. My Mk4 has an undertray though, so it could end up coming out somewhere else.

Just book it in for the screen wash leak (and anything else, if you have any other problems), don't worry about service yet.

You can get the service done as early as you like unless the lease states differently, it only affects when the next one is due.

As Dave says, I would only get it booked in for the screenwash personally. Get it serviced when it is due.

Got an issue with the rubber door seal too…

They can do more than one thing at once, without a related service, etc.

I've sent mine in with just a snag list before.

Get them to do that too. Does your bonnet open OK? Anything that's wrong get them to sort

Yeah , reason I was going to wait for the service was they’ll give me a courtesy car but sometimes have to wait a while to get one available.
And yes it’s turning into a snag list!

It’s still opening! I know it’s important for private owners to get stuff done while still under warranty, my lease covers wear and tear so shouldn’t be any expense involved even after warranty.

Thanks for the advice gentlemen , booked in week on Friday.
Is it possible it’s leaking from the back also? Getting little puddles there. The chances of it leaking in 2 different places at same time seems unlikely though..

I’m 100% the screenwash is leaking from in front of drivers side front wheel.
See how air con leaks a bit , where about does it leak from?

I’ll be honest , I’ve not heard of rim protection tyres!

Pilot sports £125 on black circles with an easter savings code applied. Will be needing the front two replaced in the next 6 months.....unless I rotate them to the rear 🤔

Michelin own Riken apparently. All tyres should have rim protection! I’m trying to find them online

The tyres with wheel rim protectors will usually have one of the following markings on the sidewall of the tyre: RFP (Rim Fringe Protector) FP (Fringe Protector. OR, you can fit a set of AlloyGators for proper rim protection if you're a careless at parking  like me LOL

I assume they’re more expensive? I don’t know who decides on type/quality of replacement tyres on a motability car..it’s Kwik fit that have the contract but that’s me had all 4 replaced by the dealership.

Yes they do. Bought them in 1992 according to Goggle.

Yep, protection tires usually command a 10% to 20% premium...

Shouldn't the tyres be 235/40r18.
