I always find that attitude odd. No matter what brand you move on to, there will be people on a forum somewhere that will have exactly the same opinion on it as you now do of Ford. It's a futile posit

I think that's a fair point. Every forum I lurk on, which is quite a few, seems to have at least one horror story like, for example, the ecoboost saga running at any one time. I've owned several of th

Vaguely on topic.  I couldn't find any way to get FreePrints on the laptop...

Tom, you just refreshed my memory on how I printed many of my 'laptop' photos. I created a folder on my laptop populated with all the photos I wanted printed, there were about 100 or so.  I then connected up my phone to laptop, and copied that folder into my phone SD card. Then, I simply used the app to print them off by directing the location to the folder now on my SD card. All photos were the original file size, so no loss of quality. Not sure if that helps or not...

That's certainly a process I hadn't thought of.

However, for me specifically, it's not worth the hassle to save a couple of quid. I'd forgotten just how much time it takes aligning the crop on each photo etc.  Not something I could do on the phone without hours or days of extra consequences.

OK, the saga continues and I'm back, cap in hand, for more of your valuable insights 😄

How do we reckon this looks?

Are the rusty spots on the underneath anything to worry about?

Looks like a couple of small holes in the exhaust.

Small split in the pipe that's coming out of the battery (pic 2) - I'm guessing that's just trunking for a cable?

The gunk around the hose in pic 5 - standard build up on an older car?

The engine is... present. (There is an engine cover - bit loose, one peg that the cover clips onto missing - that I removed for the photos)

The springs and rubbers look fairly new to me.

Looks like some kind of dried up drip on that under-tray thing in the last image - is that... normal?

Thanks again for any comments or advice - I'm aware I'm leaning heavily on your hospitality.

The small holes in the backbox are completely normal, they allow condensation to drip out. The split in the sleeve is as you thought, cables inside, so some weatherproof tape would be fine. The oil cap looks very clean and dry, have they just done an oil change and cleaned the cap?

The corrugated cable trunking is produced with a logitudinal split so it can be fitted over the cable without it needing to be threaded through. That's why a cable tie has been used to hold the split closed at the end. The trunking is only there to protect the wiring from abrasion so doesn't need any extra protection.

Thank you v much.

No - no oil change yet, apparently they will do that before it's sold. From what I could see down the spout, the inside looked clean as well.
