Hi

I have a November 207 Fiesta.

The boot light does not work, though the bulb is good.

Am i right in trhinking its controlled by the BCM behind the glove box, maybe the green plug?

If so, is ther an issue with water leaking into there causing a bad connection?

Many thanks

Rob

The switch is part of the tailgate lock, have a look there first

Assuming 2007, not 2017.

The 12V for the lamp comes from fuse 27 via the battery saver relay in the GEM, which also feeds the interior lights.  So if the interior lights work, then you probably have 12V for the boot lamp.

Do you get a "Boot Open" indication on ther dash when you have the boot open ? That is fed from the other contact on the tailgate switch, which grounds an input to the GEM.

All these lamps I think will extinguish after about an hour, which confused me a long time ago !

That makes more sense.  I thought Peugeot had a trim level named 'Fiesta' for a minute... :whistling:

To save me and everyone else repeating the same answers that were given in January when you first asked the same question here is the original thread:
