When I am using ThunderBird Email Client, on clicking a link in an email it opens it up in Chrome. How to I change it so it opens it up in FireFox?

I was naive, I thought it would be a setting in ThunderBird! Turns out you have to go into 'settings' in FireFox, and make sure it's your 'default' browser. You see, it's all easy if you know how LOL

FYI it's actually an operating system setting. Somewhere in settings (it's been a long time since I've used Windows so don't ask me where) there'll be an interface for selecting the default applications to be used for opening certain common types of files or links. Essentially you needed Firefox set here as the default application for HTTP/HTTPS links, though the interface probably dumbs it down a little to 'select your default web browser' or something. Thus when you click a link in a non-web-browser application like Thunderbird, it's going to ask the operating system to open the given link, and the operating system, seeing that it's an HTTP/HTTPS link, selects your default browser per its settings. Most/all applications like browsers will have a simple button in their settings that you can click on as an alternative way of setting them as the default (which just changes the operating system setting for you), as you discovered.
