  • Yes, Ford have got all the data on both of their customes 🤣🤣

  • I tried removing location permission from the app but it continued to work fine. Of course then only the car's location is shown on the map, not yours as well, as you'd expect.

Nice one, as per previous post, can you please let me know how you refresh location please?

I'm on Android. I never look at the location when it's being driven as I'm always the driver. I don't see an option to refresh it - it's live isn't it? Location is always correct when I look at it when it's parked.

It's location is correct, actually even a little better than it was a few weeks ago. It always showed me parked next door, but now it's finally at home.😀

just clicked on the 'vehicle' tab at the bottom of the screen which takes me to a page showing things like how much fuel the car has, and at the top the location. If i click on the location link it opens the map and shows where the car is, although it opens the map zoomed in too much.

Yeah parked up has always been fine for me but if you look at location when somebody is driving, it used to work fine as you could swipe down to refresh so would update itself and you could track journey. I can no longer see that you can refresh it, unless somebody can tell me otherwise?

The Refresh Function was removed a few updates ago.

I never used it for Location but when I had a slow puncture I used to swipe down to refresh it to check the up to date Pressure from the comfort of my home in the morning before setting off for the day. That way I knew if I needed to leave the house a few minutes earlier to pump up the Tyre.

If you just open the App it would show you what the Pressure was after switching off the last time you drove it, and that was the Hot Pressure, so pretty useless.

I suspect one of the reasons for Ford dropping it was the Battery problems. I think that refreshing the App would involve waking up the car, I might be wrong about that though.

If enough of us complain to Ford they may do something about it.

Just wishful thinking on my part🤣.

Seriously though if it was a mistake or oversight and wasn't an order from above, I'm sure the IT people will do something about it.
