MJChappo
Hi All, Just recently purchase a Ford Puma, I have always wanted one and after losing my job (which had a compnay car) I decided to get the Puma. Its been great the last few months however recently its starting to over rev when i change downs gears. Any tips on why or how to fix this??????? Also the heater will only work on setting four, So i either have no heat or full heat, very frustraing. Last point when I drive over 60mph it seems that it gets hotter, the engine dosn't seem to overheat, checked oil, radiator etc.. Please help me, i love my 1.7 puma and just want it to be better!!! mintalkin
the over reving could be the idle controlle valve or an air leak in a vac pipe, the heater will be the resistor pack thats gone and will need a new one.
tommy.h
Hi Chappo as mintalkin says heater is probably resistor pack. however as far as the revving is concerned it may also be worthwhile checking the attached. tom
