Magic
Hi all-cracking forum...its already answered one of my issues....rubbish warm-up (the 2nd stat that my local Ford garage didnt even mention!!!). Anyways....bought my 04 TDCI 130 est a few months ago and noticed the clutch was very sharp and juddery. Got the supplier to cough up for a clutch and rel bearing and DMF so its loads smoother now. Trouble now is the pedal/bite point is still quite low (it was before the new clutch was fitted). I have to push the pedal nearly to the floor to clear and the bite points about 1/2 " off the floor. I did notice the brake lights coming on when the clutch was down too so I bent the switch bracket a bit to cure that. There doesnt appear to be excess play in the pedal box (which I thought may be a link between both probs). Any ideas guys??? Cheers Ade
mintalkin
it sounds like air has got into the system a good bleed might sort it out, If you look down on top of the gearbox where the hydraulic pipe connects into the box itself, you should see a bleed nipple, probably hidden behind a little rubber boot.
