liam-20
its really easy mate i have never used spray can in my life this stuff does most of the work just start by using playing cards or similer like this then start by going round the outside of the rim then work you way over the spokes you wanna get like 50%-60% covereage on the first coat then on the second and thrid you wanna cover the bits you missed on the first i did 7 coats i would just say by a tin and have a play it completly comes off so no worries about ruining your alloys. Preee
Plasti dip matte black thanx you should do your wheels on ya new car the samw will look good against the white. Good idea , i might just do that , i'm rubbish at spraying , but worth a try as you can't damage anything with the plasti dip

Lloyday
How easy does it come off? Is it worth just painting them, I don't want to do it then first wash its all gone :/
liam-20
Not to sure how long it will last but I've seen YouTube videos of them being jet washed and they seem fine
artscot79
having used the stuff it depends on high wear areas it needs touched up a lot youtube never tells the whole truth its a good product but the u.s doesnt have the crap on the roads we have its great to use during the winter to protect the alloys i use it for protection under the wheel arches it lasts a good while

Gary Minty Jupe
Liam how is the plasti dip holding out ?
Scoobimax
Impressed - I might have a go at that. I reckon it would contrast well against the chequered rear quarters on mine. I once had the wheels on one of my scoobies painted anthracite - silver car with smoked rear lens clusters, side repeaters and driving lamp covers which looked great - good way of hiding the brake dust ;-)
Oxide
Looks great, it would be great if it was a bit more permanent though. You'll have to keep us updated on how long it holds out.
liam-20
hey guys thanx for comments so its been 3 weeks now done couple hundred miles been down motorway in the rain so bit of punishment plus heat from the brakes and they look no different to when i sparyed them i have washed them but with a damp cloth and only light rubbing but all seems well so far couple pictures below
Brigante
Looks good mate considering it's 3weeks on, seems to be holding up well so far. Got me wanting to do it to my wheels now but there's probably no point as my ghia rims are crap anyway lol so still won't improve em much Can't wait to get ST rims myself. artscot79
ive had it last under the arches for up to a year as long as u do a few good coats it holds up 2 isnt enough its a great noise dampener under the arches ill be redoing my arches before the winter sets in costs around 20quid to do all 4 with 4 coats
