PubeHeed
There is a HUGE grinding noise coming from what I think is the brakes. I've checked the brakes and the cylinders are pushed out and are difficult to get them back in . I think I'm going to need new calipers. Can I please get some advice on what people could think it is and what I should do? Thanks.
DieselPig
Sounds like the pads are worn, what do they look like, how much material is left on them?
mintalkin
the grinding will be the metal of thepads scraping the discs so you will need new pads also inspect the discs as they could have been damaged by the backing plate, as for pushing back the pistons do this by releasing the bleed nipple so the fluid is not pushed back through the system. PubeHeed
The pads and discs are fine. Plenty of material still there
DieselPig
When does it make this noise, all the time or just when braking?
PubeHeed
I've just had the car examined again and it seems my discs, pads, shoes and wheel bearing needs done... I think it's funny how I didn't have these problems until I had my partners fat friend in the back. Haha. Getting parts and labour done for cheap so I'm happy :)
