      Agree with Jeebs, I have had many cars of different marques, Ford are definitely in the top three, and Vauxhall are languishing under the barrel of crap.

    Aye it's worth it! 'local father sold junkie mobile by dodgy dealer' will win support and should get them out of business!

    If you're after compensation, putting the word out and making the garage go bust isn't a great idea.

    Does tyre tread levels matter when doing tracking as the garage say it can't do the trackn due to front tyres having more tread than rear

    Tracking is making sure they are all flat and square, tyre tread plays no part in it.

    That is exactly what I said the garage are wanting to charge us for 2 front tyres and make us pay for the tracking even tho the report said damaged steering rack but they say it's the tracking

    Talking rubbish, the tyre tread will not affect the tracking, however a significant difference in tread will affect how some wheels grab the road. So if one side has 5mm more than the other it will have the slightest bias of travel that way, but it's nothing significant

    That isn't worth thinking about. If this is the same garage you bought the car from walk away and get the alignment done elsewhere, I would say don't return to them and I would get it done elsewhere, they sound like the kind of idiots that think putting petrol in a diesel is an easy way to clean the engine and that a head gasket is the carpet like surface hanging from the vehicle ceiling....

    I think we are going to have to they are just filling us with !Removed! excuses pardon my language they gave us a like for like courtesy car which is a Saab petrol and he have had it 2days and only done 70 mile and put 40 petrol it's costing Us fortune and the garage Al so said our poor mpg was due to car having 75000 miles on clock

    Your solicitor can recover all costs if it goes to court, so anything you do get receipts for and the solicitor can recover it...
