geoff milkshake
Hi there, My battery on my 1.6 Lx (05) died yesterday - fitted a new alternator but the immobiliser kicks in as soon as I try to start the engine. Current thinking is I need to tow to nearest Ford dealer to get them to reprogramme Are there any alternatives to this - ideally without having to arrange a tow / transit? Many thanks! Whelk8891
Did you replace the battery too? Are you sure its not just stone dead? I had my battery off for ages last week while I had the driver's door to bits, and didn't have any trouble after reconnecting everything.
