Yup, barstewards! Thankfully my sister is remaining very positive and thinks she is actually glad she found out what he is really like. She said if he had walked away or something she'd have wanted him back etc, but now she's found this out she says there is no going back and if he can do that to her children (and his I guess) then he's done. Sad thing is they've been 'together' for over 10 years, married for nearly 4. My sister carried 4 of his kids (sadly had a miscarriage) and then he does this... I think she feels there is certain limits guys can push, but this was too far!

We all say (out of earshot of her) had it been a drunken one night stand or something, we'd have his balls off, but the fact he's built a relationship with another woman is just pathetic...

Ffs mate sorry to hear this but glad she is positive and remember her that not all men are bad because some women after going through something horrendous as that tend to generally not trust another one a can't blame them tho!

But glad she found out a think it's worse if you dont find out at all and its not like he's gonna come out and say it like a boy (was gonna say man there but true men don't cheat)

And yeah that is pathetic.....

Damn dude, some guys just don't get it. it will go wrong for him. always does. did the other woman even know what he's been up to?

Don't know how people do this, not the audacity side but I remember like 10 years ago trying to just 2 women at once, just juggling them about was hard enough but I was 18 then and non committal, how you physically do this and come up with years of excuses etc is just beyond comprehension. just unfair, cowardly too, very strange how people do this let alone why. must be a mental illness thing.

Problem is he works away doing close protection for some big names... so he's away 3 weeks at a time... she obviously supported him into putting the long hours as because he doesn't come from a military background it was hard for him to get the contacts... he has done well enough that he is soon to start his own business.. So it's difficult... go viral and ruin his life? Or hope that his business goes well so that my sister gets a nice wad of £!

Got no idea if the other woman knew... she certainly knows now.. I think my sister or my mum sent her a message on facebook (a restrained message) but her facebook is now gone, no reply etc.. basically they've both gone off the radar...

Hoping that the woman didn't know... that way he'll be kicked to the curb from all angles!

Divorce with adultery means a big payout, he'll be paying about 70% of his spare income ( that's after priority bills and nothing else ) until they are 16 or 18 if they remain in full time education and she'll get a full 50% share of every asset whilst they are still legally married ( so hold of the divorce until the business kicks in and takes off )

I don't like following hgv trains down the local a roads. Followed one recently he went down the a roads slow as you like, kept stopping as they do for other large vehicles.

Now I know they can't get everywhere by a motorway, but when he could have used the m2 and the m20 he could have still reached the same bleedin junction I followed him to!

I bit of preparation would have more sensible. Those things are difficult enough to manage without dragging them down the most inappropriate roads unnecessarily

^ I think some of them rely on satnavs, which isn't a good idea when the satnav was designed for vehicles 10x smaller.

Yeah don't I know it! That's what I mean by the preparation. A map, points a and b and you would see there are two motorways then put it in the sat nav, head for the nearest motorway and it would correct itself on that course. Time is about two minutes and the time saved on the journey would be about 10 or more, and it would reduce the risk of accidents and the happiness of all motorists involved

^ Yeah if it was me I'd plan a quick route on google maps and make a note of the motorways and junctions to take etc, although with a car you can usually just follow the satnav and not worry about some of the minor roads it might take you down.

I always do a quick plan. If nothing else just note the major motorways as of I lose the sat nav etc I still have a vague idea were to go

It really takes no time at all to have a quick look.

I don't like buying a 2TB Portable Hard Drive from Argos only to find the drive inside is only 500GB!!

The case says 2TB, but only registers 500GB in Windows,

I was worried when the box came with a 'Opened and Checked' sticker on it,

The drive has some Apple system files on it from 2 days ago,

my guess someone before me noticed it was well under the capacity and returned it,

and Argos have obviously not checked it (for capacity) and just put it back in stock.

probably some sneaky beggar has swapped out the drive itself.

check the anti-tamper seals and take it back sharpish or else Argos may say you swapped it yourself.

Swapped and sorted, I'm gonna refuse any item that's been returned in future, especially tech.

Apparently it was returned yesterday, the files that were on it were from Friday, looked like Apple backup system files,

so hard to tell if it was that person who noticed the same as me when they formatted it, or actually swapped the drive themselves.

A sneaky swap is most likely, it's very common unfortunately.

Feeling sick and knowing you have work in an hour :(

Quite common that with HDD's especially with SD cards, they change something that makes it look like it's got 4x the space but infact it doesn't.

Some PC's do only operate to a certain space, I can get an SD card up to 128GB but most devices only work to 32 or 64. a PC should take over 500GB though.

Is it a USB 3 HDD going into a USB 2 port?

SD cards are very commonly tampered with or 'fake', especially eBay ones... I got a 'sandisk' card from eBay but was very suspicious when it turned up and had very neutral non committal packaging (didn't say sandisk or any other company) and the sd card didn't have sandisk written on it, even though on eBay it did, I just ran a program online which basically writes a lot of data (you choose how much) onto the card then runs it and tells you how much is corrupted... So if it was advertised as a 16gb, I could get about 6gb data on it, the rest would be corrupt. Got my £ back!

Damn right, only ever buy memory from 1, UK seller, 2 Item located in the UK 3, nothing less than 10k feedback and a minimum of 99.something. I've been fine but I know people who have been stung on this several times.

Ebay are actually getting quite bad tbh, people get away with murder almost on there.

Yes it is,

I've bought the same drive before, so i know what it should be like,

the one i got had been used, there was no Seagate registration stuff on it,

looked like it had been formatted on an Apple system, I doubt that reduced 1.81TB to 465GB (Formatted).

It was obviously swapped by someone.

The good old Switcheroo, most likely was corrupted and they fixed it using Partition recovery tools, they generally kill off like half of the space.

Although 465GB is most likely just a 500GB HDD, sounds about right.

Fortunately I contacted ebay straight away and I think I was able to either show them screen shots of what the program said, or I copy and pasted what it said... either way, managed to get my money back. Although the seller was a cheeky git, he was saying "look, just don't leave me negative feedback, you can keep the sd card and I'll refund you if you leave positive feedback" ...

These days nothing ever seems to ever be delivered from eBay. Had to open 3 PayPal disputes within the past month. Surprisingly they were all >98% feedback, established eBay sellers. What are the odds!

Naughty postman?
