Stoney871
Had enough of it now, just had 3 hours ripping out mods and wiring. The screwdrivers are retired.

Stoney871
Going to change the indicator bulbs to silvatec type to de-tango and probably add smoked mirror indicator lenses and that will be it. Will need a new dog grille and boot liner but job is sourcing them for me.
Ianb
Ah very good, have you got one of those metal bars that you plug into the tail gate and the locking part so that you can sort of lock the boot slightly open for air? I need to get one of those and those grills for the windows..
Stoney871
Haven't got a bar, dogs are usually only in the car for 30 minutes tops going to/from work unless I take them on the moors. The only vehicle they are in for long periods is the works ST and then they have their own aircon unit monitored by a digital temperature screen on the dash. SeanW
Your doggy passengers get better travel arrangements than most human passengers lol
Stoney871
Your doggy passengers get better travel arrangements than most human passengers lol The rules for carriage and care of Police dogs is very strict now due to that case in 2011 when two dogs died in Notts. The regs we have to abide by now are very specific. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2008691/Sergeant-Ian-Craven-suicide-bid-police-dogs-die-heat-car.html
Ianb
rightly so :) Another reason I'd love to get a van, leaves a bit more space for doggy to stay out the heat..

Stoney871
Well happy with it. Goes like a stabbed rat. It's more nimble than the patrol car as it hasn't got all the extra kit fitted to it and I reckon a bit faster too. I will take some more (blur free) piccies when I get a chance. If I were to give test drives to everyone who's asked so far I'd be getting to drive it myself about mid june :d
