fiestaman1990
Hi all I drove a 2012 Ford Fiesta MK7 1.6 Tdci today and found a problem with acceleration. When taking my foot of the accelerator pedal the car continues to accelerate for a few seconds. What could be the cause? I found it to be quite dangerous especially when driving around town. alexp999
Did it accelerate or just not slow down very quickly? The modern Ford's have quite a dampened throttle response for the sake of economy, so the car does not respond to accelerating or decelerating as hard. Once you are used to it, you get in a car without it, and stick yourself through the windscreen when you lift off, lol.
