Hi all,

I have a Ford Focus Mk3 Zetec S 2012 with the 6 speaker audio system and the basic blue monochrome display. I don't believe i have SYNC 1 i think i have the bluetooth voice control one.

I was wondering if i installed a steering wheel with cruise control, would cruise control work?

Many thanks in advance,

Ben

The short answer is 'No'

Thank you for getting back to me. Is there any steps I can take to get it to work? For example swapping the instrument cluster?

Why not?

If your Body Control Module supports, cruise control then you can change the steering wheel, you may also have to change the clock spring (not sure on your exact model) and then use FORScan to make the changes needed to the BCM, and IPC.

I have used FORScan to check the Body Control Module and the option is available to change from "without cruise control" to "cruise control". I am unsure if that definitively means it is supported? I just haven't ever seen an image of cruise control being used on the small monochrome display.

Use FORScan and have a look at the instrument cluster options to see you can turn on the option of cruise.

Okay just checked the IPC Central Config (Backup) and cruise control option is present. I have included a screenshot. Also it seems my IPC is BM5T-14C025-AD if that helps.

Looks worth a try 👍

The only other issue is the clock spring, but if you need to replace it then you can do that when you change the steering wheel.

Okay i will give it a go. Thank you for your help! 👍

Yes, this is also perfectly possible on a Kuga.

However you should be aware that despite looking identical the Kuga/Escape instrument clusters are different from the Focus/C-max instrument clusters.

Good day, can anyone share the programming instructions for the Kuga cluster for the Focus MK3 pre-facelift?

Hey Dave,

Yes I do indeed. I imagine I just get in touch with them?

Yes, follow the instructions on the support page, you will need to include the logs

Dave,

That'd be the direct support tab on forscan's page right? Wasn't unfortunately able to find what section applies most to me. Thank you for the hassle...
