m1tch
Hi all, Bit of an odd one, my radio unit has an AUX button on it, alongside the radio and CD options etc, but I can't seem to find where the AUX port is actually located in the car. My guess by looking at the unit itself is that the radio currently in my car wasn't the original one fitted as there seems to be some slightly damaged edges to the unit where I am guessing the keys would have been inserted. Can someone confirm where the AUX port should be in the car, and could also confirm that its a standard double DIN radio - I will be looking to swap out the unit at some point but just wanted to check to see if there should be an AUX port somewhere! Thanks in advance!
arob.sco
It should be between the gear stick and hand brake. What does ETIS say? If you have usb/aux plug it should say: Accessory Media Hub 1XUSB And/or With A/V Jack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
m1tch
Hmm I only have the 12v socket next to the gearstick, I guess mine has just been retrofitted with the AUX version - not too worried as I will be looking to swap it out at some point. Stoney871
Quite common to have a radio with aux ability fitted without the aux socket. The kit is about £20 from Ford (Finis code 1426121). http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171987702013&alt=web

Thanks in advance! Check your vehicle handbook to see if your model has the AUX port. It will also tell you where it is located if it does. Hope this helps :) Possible Locations for AUX inputs: In-between the gear-stick and the handbrake Around the radio In the glove-box Somewhere in the foot wells of the driver/passengers area. If not, Ford has provided an AUX input; Quite common to have a radio with aux ability fitted without the aux socket.
