Cammy555
I recently broke my left side wind mirror on my Ford Fiesta 2008. Two weeks later my right side wing mirror started playing up when it starts to fold in it doesnt stop and makes 4 clicking noises before stopping. I took it to the garage and they said its a design fault and id have to replace the other mirror. Is this correct or is it fords way of making an easy £155. Any advice you can give would be great. Maxxxykins
A bus took my left wing mirror off (glass, plastic and indicators, the motor to turn the mirror was still there. I bought and fitted everything myself (Ford wanted a shedload, everything together only cost me 40 quid, inlcuding a respray!)When Ford took a look at it, they said I might need to buy the drivers side mirror as well, or atleast have some re-programmed. Which is a load of.. as i've been fine since (4 months +)Not sure how you broke your wing mirror, but surely, if it's a design fault, Ford themselves should rectify it?
Cammy555
Ford will do nothing about it the car is 7 years old, so look like i might have to replace the unit myself unless i can get some joy on this forum with a way of mending it easily.
