Steering wheel issue

Hi,

A few months ago i upgraded the steering wheel to a full leather one in my 11 plate fiesta, Ever since the wheel was installed it has never sat straight and it was always off to the left by just a little bit, I've had the car aligned and they said the geometry (toe, camber and caster are all within spec) is all good, I'm just left confused why it doesn't sit straight anymore. Both wheels slide onto the steering column with a hex nut which doesn't really have any play to it.

 

Any help would be appreciated

    They need to do the tracking with the steering wheel held straight. Naturally the steering wheel will sit to one side whilst the steering lock is engaged

    Garage that did my tracking didn't lock the steering wheel inline and its been out ever since. drives me crazy
