mjt Posted August 4, 2016 Author Share Posted August 4, 2016 That does, of course, mean your tyres are a very different profile so that will likely have some influence on their characteristics. I'm guessing the steering geometry is pretty different too. Even before I had the Avons fitted I felt the steering and general handling of this Mk3 was not as good as our Mk2.5, although as that's a hatch and the Mk3 is an estate it's not a direct comparison. I'll see what difference swapping the wheels around makes. At the moment the Contis have a lot of life left so I can't justify changing them for another pair of Avons to get the same all round but long-term that's what I'll be aiming to do.
